Ladbrokes Live Casino Live Dealer Casino

Promo codes from Ladbrokes await in the live casino

Ladbrokes are quite fond of its live casino section and they are entitled to be proud of what they've achieved, since making the transition to online gambling. They managed to introduce all the popular elements that can be found in brick-and-mortar casinos, while upholding the same quality standards that are synonymous with the brand. Slot machines that were previously available only land-based venues can now be played over the Internet in the company of highly trained professionals. Many of those who have a real money account have already experience the thrills of online gambling in the live casino section. Those who are yet to play here are going to find the new offer tempting because €50 will be coming their way when they open a new account. It is essential to make a qualifying deposit and also use the LOVELIVE promotional code to have the amount matched by 100%. As always, casino players will need to meet the wagering requirements associated to the bonus but in this case the process is expected to be quick and painless. The combined amount will only need to be played through 50 times, which is significantly better than the industry standard and hundreds of games qualify. As long as players deposit at least €50 and play on a daily basis, they will receive the bonus without delays and will soon convert it into withdrawable money. Once this process is complete, the cash can be transferred to the other gambling areas where players can wager on sports or play poker. It is also possible to withdraw money using credit cards and e-wallets and the online gambling operator recommends them to use the same payment methods for both deposits and cash outs. One of the particularities of this promotion is that customers are not supposed to transfer funds from the sports betting section to the live casino when applying for the bonus. This is not exactly a big concern, since new members will still have to make a deposit using a standard payment method, to be able to withdraw the funds after they win a lot of money. Another thing worth mentioning is that the standard welcome package and this €50 bonus are mutually exclusive. What this means is that players need to make up their mind and choose one bonus or the other, with both of them being tempting.

For the majority of these offers you want to play blackjack following the chart found here
Any blackjack game will do, look for a normal version of the game at the site you are playing on and make sure it is a non live game as the hand sizes will be lower.
When playing blackjack there will often be more than one spot that you can bet on, allowing the player to bet more than one hand at a time, Its important to only bet on one spot at a time as it reduces the variance of the game and will ensure you get the maximum return possible from the game, stick to £1 hand sizes when playing and dont be tempted to bet larger amounts as you will be getting a nice amount of cashback from every offer
Through playing blackjack this way the player will get a return of around 98%, meaning for every £100 staked you will lose around £2. If you make a loss on a casino site after completing the required wagering amount, withdraw your remaining balance, don't chase loses as the cashback will make up for loses and give you a profit in most cases.
All offers are updated fairly regularly, make sure to check the terms for each offer as information in this post may become outdated. Also check for other offers every now and then as new casinos are added!

CMV: Males are genetically predisposed to gambling

Gambling or betting on things seems to be an extremely male-dominated behaviour, especially here in Australia (and we spend the most on gambling per capita worldwide).
On a subjective level, almost every one of my male friends and colleagues gambles daily, and social conversations amongst friends often tend to steer towards what's going on in the horses/greyhounds/NRL betting/AFL betting/under-12 disabled Ukrainian volleyball if that's all that's left. Blokes will make bets with each other over things like the coin flip before a game, the exact time of kick off and if a racecaller will say a catchphrase during a race.
I believe that part of the reason is that betting advertising has become part of our daily life here. TV ads, radio, print media, social media; literally everywhere you look. They've even managed to seamlessly entwine betting watching sport - every ad break or pre-game show there is a representative from one of the bookmakers showing live odds, tips and gambling strategy. They have TV pop-up ads showing live odds. They even have banner advertising that is cookie-generated so you literally can't escape being marketed to if you're online at all and have looked up a sports result that day. In recent years, gambling ads are now primarily for racing and sports betting rather than, as in the past, for lotteries.
On the flip side, none of my female friends or colleagues have any interest in gambling. Quite a few follow sport here but never put any bets on or talk about gambling.
Is this because sportsbetting marketing is extremely targeted towards the male demographic? Here in Australia we also spend the most on gambling advertising over all other countries in the world. Our major bookies (Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, Neds, BetEasy) have incredibly male-oriented advertising with TV ads that specifically target men from 18 to 40 - this is obviously their bread and butter market but why? Sports betting advertising often features men standing together, drinking and watching a sporting match. Have a look at some examples of this targeted advertising all showing the single male demographic.
Is this due to the fact that sports in general are more popular with men, and this is the reason for the propensity to sports bet?
I think men are genetically predisposed to gambling or betting. From an evolutionary point of view, men have been more likely to be competitive with each other in providing for their family/tribe and having the ability to fight for alpha male status.

END NOTE: I am not referring to casino gambling. For some reason Casino gambling is a lot more gender equal.

For the young adult gamblers: what I wish I knew back then

At first I was shocked by some of the posts from young people, not because of their age (I started around 20) but because of the amounts involved (guess not all you kids are unable to find good jobs!).
First thing you need to realize: the gambling industry, just like the smoking industry, targets young people with their advertising. New customers are the #1 key to their business growth. They NEED them, as eventually the older guys age out or die (just like smokers). I remember a few years ago Ladbrokes (a UK/Ireland bookie) ran an ad called 'The Ladbrokes Life'. I always wondered why a bookie would have the words 'broke' and 'lad' in their name. I mean, wouldn't Ladrich be a better strategy?
But this particularly insidious ad showed me their media savvy was not an issue. And anyway, when something's addictive it really doesn't matter what you call the brand. This ad showed a gang of young guys in their 20s roaming around town, watching football matches, staring wide eyed at their phones, jumping and up and cheering at goals being scored. They had the slow mo 'Reservoir Dogs' walk going on, and freeze frames on each guy with nicknames like 'The Professor' flashing on each one. All these guys were having a great time living 'the Ladbrokes life'.
Last year, a neighbour of mine who lives in England, with a wife and kids, late 20s, threw himself into the path of an oncoming train. They had to collect his remains with a bucket. No one knew why. Then it came out that he had large debts to loan sharks because he was borrowing money to gamble. His father who is still alive, was a gambler, too. From what I hear he still is, but I don't go in the bookie any more.
That's the real 'Ladbrokes life'.
Young people are easy targets for organisations who want to entice them into risky behaviour. You think you're invincible and have plenty of time. Death seems a million years away. So the army, the smoking industry, and the gambling industry can grab you more easily.
Before I became an alcoholic and gambler, I didn't know things. Things like: these addictions have a genetic component. I didn't grow up around my extended family as my parents immigrated to the US when I was young. I started playing poker and betting football around 2000, my mother moved back to Europe around that time and I moved back also around 2006, thinking it was great that gambling on sports was legal and there was casino with poker every night nearby. I then found out from my mother that her father was a notorious gambler who literally lost an entire farm in a poker game. I met a guy who played with my grandfather, and said he met him one day with a couple grand in his pocket, which, in those days in that area, was enough to buy a house. He saw him again later that night and he was flat broke, looking to bum money for a taxi home.
My mother's 3 brothers: brother #1 was an excellent carpenter, earned over a million in 10 years working in London. He died penniless due to gambling. Brother 2, had over 40k in debt at one point (he then quit and went into recovery and is doing well now). Brother 3, has also quit, after an episode just 2 years ago where he lost 4k during a drinking binge. He walked into the pub he placed the bets with the next day with no memory of it and got the bad news. Both those guys paid their debts btw.
So you young guys need to look at your family history and see if you have alcoholics or gamblers in your genepool. Chances are you do. If they're alive, ask yourself do you want their life. If not, ask yourself would you be happy to have your life end the way theirs did.

Unlucky

Hi, this is no rant or lecture or sad story, im just after some general advice i guess. This is true aswell im not making it up for support or whatever. Every time i have a bet or lotto or football, i always lose by 1. I had n10 on lotto and 9 and 11 comes out. I picked a clear fav horse and it gets beat on the line by a outsider, i have a dog bet, winning until the finish and gets beat on the line, these are just a few examples of the many many times ive lost by 1. One of the more blatant times happend this week, i got to £60 from £5 on ladbrokes casino roulette. Picked red and black came out, red again and black came again, this happens 5x until i lost my money, the next roll landed on red. This was a live casino too. I really really dont understand why im so unlucky. The only luck ive ever had is meeting my bro/best friend, apart from that im unlucky in everything i have and do. It really gets me down. Thanks for listening.

25 Years Of Gambling

Seems like most posts here are US based; I live in London England.
I have just turned 49 and have spent the last quarter of a century gambling.
I have done everything. Sports index betting, online and bricks-and -mortar casinos, share index betting, but what’s absolutely killed me are the FOBT machines on the high street.
Yesterday, I went in to Ladbrokes for ‘15 minutes’ with £200 in my pocket. I took out 8 more £200’s from my card. Total £1800. On my last £200 (playing two machines) I was up £2256 on one, and £2990 on the other. Two hours later it was all gone.
I was on holiday until the 7th August in Spain so I didn’t gamble for 16 days. Came back feeling great. 12 days later, I’ve screwed another £9500. I so cannot afford this and now feel like the biggest piece of scum.
What highlited it to me today, was one someone came to me at work this morning and said, ‘ can I ask you for advice, you are so grounded financially...’
I realised just how much coverup and cluelessness we gamblers radiate to the world.
I reckon I’ve creamed £1.5m over the last 20 years. Probably more.
My first ever post here. I am so depressed.

FAO Devs: Concerns about FUNFAIR

I've been provided the following summary by a guy who is contemplating investing in FF. He has a lot of experience in the area, and his thoughts raise a few questions which I'd like to see addressed by the FunFair development team, so if you guys are around, would be good to get your take on the following (apologies for formatting, paragraphs not showing up for some reason):
"Funfair at that price is still a good buy. Look people love gambling online, the concept is fantastic and ultimately could be a huge winner but I have some concerns.
The people running it are still a limited corporation right with the ultimate aim being to make money, they don't pretend otherwise and thats to their credit.
The potential risks are, in this order, user experience and adoption. You can't get supreme user experience without adoption and ultimately historical user data and you can't get adoption without ongoing usage.
I'll list what I feel their - huge - challenges are:
There are some serious players in the online gambling space that offer b2b platforms. Playtech essentially provides the software for all the casino, bingo, slots and poker platforms of the likes of Paddy Power, William, Coral, Mansion, Bet365, Gala, 888, Titan, Ladbroke, Betfred and a shit ton of others.
Microgaming would be their closest competitors - they have Unibet, Nordicbet, BetVictor and a ton of others.
There are others that have been before, and been very good but closed down due to being unable to keep market share of were simply bought out. It's an incredibly competitive space.
Playtech and Microgaming develop and maintain solutions that are then licensed to their clients on multi year, multi million dollar contracts. That's the space Funfair wants to operate in. They will not offer live services, their business model is to license their platform to others.
The question here is, who do they license to? All the big players are already tied up with the two noted service providers above - or run their own proprietary software like Stars/Tilt/Party.
The noted above essentially rules out the top 15 online gambling operators that account for well over 95% of the market. The others feed on their scraps, and ultimately profit out of regulation dodging.
I worked in online gaming for many years, in marketing then development then operations and localisation and back to marketing. I started in 2002 and spent a lot of time going back and forth to Costa Rica and other mental locations working with the likes of Titan, CD, Bodog, Absolute, UB and Microgaming before moving to Full Tilt full time in LA, Vancouver and Dublin from 2005 to 2011.
I seen online gambling come out of nowhere in a completely unregulated space and explode, I was there when compliance and regulatory bodies were Indian reservations in Canada and also saw and lived through the real regulation slowly creep in and one swoop wipe 40%+ value off companies overnight or even cripple companies along the way, all for the good of the Vegas casinos btw, absolute scumbags.
The one thing that I had a lot of insight to was user numbers, user experience and player behaviour and retention across a very very large period of time so the sample data is huge. Full Tilt and Stars were trading blows in late 08 to late 09 in what was an insane period of traffic potentially hitting 125,000 users online at any given time on both networks, that was just poker.
On casino, slots and bingo, the peak network numbers were approximately 60,000 at any given time on the big sites. But that wasn't consistent wagering. I believe it's dropped significantly since I vacated the industry. Skinned sites could make their owners a comfortable living on <1000 users, again though a lot of skins still get their licensing certification from fake regulatory bodies in Kahnawake, or Panama.
The "legit" businesses are all regulated by either Isle Of Man, UK, Malta or Alderney gaming commissions.
If they're a multi country facing operation, and are not regulated by one of the above - chances are they're operating illegally with no proof of customer funds being held in escrow.
There are of course country specific regulations such as in France and Italy where you can only operate online gambling legally by offering it as a separate player pool as your main offering so that only players in that geographical location can play on the country specific platform, no one from the outside can play in it and no one in the country can play on non country specific networks. They audit the software, as much as they're allowed to, and sign off on changes before it goes live. That regulation model is spreading at a huge rate.
The regulation is crazy. I worked a lot on the license applications at Tilt in France and Italy and it was absolutely insane the hoops that had to be jumped through just to get a sub par product on the market.
The reason I bring up regulation in so much depth is because all the b2b suppliers specified above will not offer the software to anyone without the correct licensing in place, and that needs to be provided in advance pre any agreement being signed. So all the "big boys" have licenses to operate in all their jurisdictions legally.
What happens then is because the b2b suppliers have the comfort that these operators have invested all the time, money and effort into obtaining legal licensing on all these markets, they know they're serious and have subsequently got them tied up to long term deals which makes them ultimately unavailable for the likes of funfair to market to.
Don't forget it's not also just about the technology, it has to be a great visual user experience.
That's a big problem because it only leaves rogue or lightly regulated operators as the people funfair could realistically license to, which is never going to encourage widespread adoption.
Its with that in mind that I feel the only potential for the funfair technology to really take off as a main player is to be absorbed by Playtech or Microgaming (or Stars) to introduce the technology into their own offerings OR they come out with a serious marketing budget and play the " how do you know you're not being cheated" card and create such a worldwide buzz in the industry with technology of total transparency that they create a 2.0 bubble, but in my conversations with them directly and with the research I've done, they're holding back on complete transparency - at least for now.
It's interesting for sure, I'll invest in the upcoming - primarily because I do believe in Ethereum significantly as a framework, but not sure for how much."

12 years working in the poker industry, most recently at Unibet - AMA

I played for a living from 2002-2004, worked for PokerStars from 2004-2012, including one year off in 2008 playing for a living again, Ladbrokes for a year, and currently Unibet for a year.
At Unibet I designed most of the geeky stuff: rake structure, achievements, missions, the loyalty scheme, the tournament schedule, plus milestones and various other features.
Obviously I'd like to talk about Unibet a lot, but ask me anything about online poker too. As long as it isn't likely to ruin my career (or reveal too much about internal numbers etc) I'll answer.
The online poker industry is in secular decline and almost every operator is shrinking. A large reason for that is because new players are losing faster today than they used to. The aim of Unibet poker is to create a level playing field where there are no HUDs, no trackers, no auto-seating scripts and no table selection. Players can also change alias up to three times per day. We want to keep new players alive for longer, and we want to make poker fun again.
I look after the Unibet thread on 2 + 2 at http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-pokeunibet-official-thread-1452899/ and I'll post there to confirm I'm me. For what it's worth, I'm also "Sciolist" on 2 + 2.
Unibet-ad: We're about to start dealing milestones hands, where we will award ~€100k (maybe > €1m if someone gets unreasonably lucky) from hand 95m to 105m. From Monday we will also be streaming a live cash game from Asper's casino that will featre Viktor Blom, amongst others. We are also about to start the 30th Unibet Open in London at the end of next week.
Edit: Looks like this has died out by itself. I'll check in from time to time if anyone bumps it.

The highlight of the show is the main event which attracts thousands of players on a yearly basis, but the most profitable events are those dedicated to highrollers. Only the best and richest poker players and businessmen in the world can afford to pay $1 million to participate in the Big One for One Drop tournament. Not surprisingly, many players decided to spend the seven digit amount for a chance to be a part of this competition, set up by Guy Laliberte. The fact that the part of the money collected is donated to charity provides players with the impetus to take bigger chances than they normally would. So far, 33 players have announced their intention to participate in this highrollers event and pay the entry fee, but many more are expected to tag along. Ladbrokes Poker and other online operators are running satellites and qualifiers for the World Series of Poker 2014. This is standard procedure for online poker rooms and the satellites are very popular with those who hope to participate at the WSOP but can't afford to pay the buy-in for the main event. It goes without saying that there are no online qualifiers running for the Big One for One Drop tournament, the competition reserved exclusively for those who can afford to lose huge amounts. Not surprisingly, among those who paid $1 million to be among the celebrities are many businessman who chose to protect their identity. The vast majority of participants is made by poker professionals who do this for a living and who genuinely believe that they have a decent chance at finishing in the money. Only those who made the final table can hope to enjoy some return on investment, but the prospect of winning the largest amount ever awarded in a live tournament is irresistible. Ladbrokes Poker players who have high expectations and are not willing to settle for the qualifiers hosted by the aforementioned company, should know that there is a $25,300 Mega Satellite scheduled for June 28. There are qualifiers for the satellite as well, with the least expensive sending players back only $200. The World Series of Poker 2014 will enjoy extensive ESPN TV coverage and it goes without saying that the Big One for One Drop tournament will receive plenty of attention. There are not many events that have a two-pronged effect, providing players with the chance of winning an eight digit amount, while positively impacting the lives of those less fortunate.

Ladbrokes leaves Microgaming for iPoker

Leading gambling operator Ladbrokes has just announced that it will complete its transfer from Microgaming’s poker network to iPoker provided by Playtech’s by the end of the month. The change is part of Ladbroke’s egaming overhaul and on line gamers can expect to find a number of other exciting changes very soon. Ladbrokes has also revealed in the early part of next year they plan to have completely utilised Playtech’s innovative suite of egaming software. Competing company Unibet have also announced similar plans to Microgaming’s MPN, although Unibet will be using the special poker product that the company has developed in partnership with the up and coming Relax Gaming. The iPoker network is already being used by a number of prolific on line gaming companies, including William Hill, bet365 and Gala Coral and in order to cope with the number of new subscribers to their service Playtech has adopted a tiered approach. This year Ladbrokes announced that the poker section of their service experienced a 25% decline in net revenue, which has forced the company to rethink the way they offer and market this service. In fact, for the six months ending on June 30th the company revealed that their poker revenue had plummeted to £4.2 million. It looks like the new move could really benefit Ladbrokes, as the company should be able to enjoy improved liquidity from the iPoker network as well as the launch of a brand new mobile iPoker client. Back in March Ladbrokes and Playtech signed a long-term licensing deal, which will give Ladbrokes full access to the vibrant Playtech technology suite including a range of exciting slots and table games and a live casino. Fans of Ladbrokes can expect great things from the company in the months to come and the move is sure to be a welcome change.

2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic begins next Saturday

Poker players are anxiously waiting for the World Series of Poker to resume with the final table, which is scheduled for early November. Meanwhile, there are a couple of online tournaments running live at Ladbrokes Poker which keep players entertained. Some of the upcoming events here will make millionaires and there are many satellites and qualifiers for prominent live tournaments. While players hone their skills over the Internet and watch everything that happens in Las Vegas or revolving around the WSOP, there are other tournaments to consider. November begins with the 2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic which starts on Saturday and the series will have a total of five events. They will span over more than a week, with the last one being the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000. Past performance suggests that guaranteed prize pools are usually exceeded and given the interest for this particular tournament, history will probably repeat itself this November. Most poker professionals who are not involved in European tournaments or can take a break from the EPT to travel to the United States, are expected to participate. The Seneca Fall Poker Classic has been a massive hit in the previous years and there is no reason to assume that 2014 will be any different. Casino representatives have released the complete schedule for the tournament, with all the relevant dates to be found in the list below:1 Saturday, Nov. 1 11 a.m. $500 No-Limit Hold'em2 Sunday, Nov. 2 11 a.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Flight A ($50K Guaranteed)2 Sunday, Nov. 2 6 p.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Flight B ($50K Guaranteed)2 Monday, Nov. 3 11 a.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Flight C ($50K Guaranteed)2 Monday, Nov. 3 6 p.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Flight D ($50K Guaranteed)2 Tuesday, Nov. 4 11 a.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Flight E ($50K Guaranteed)2 Tuesday, Nov. 4 6 p.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Flight F ($50K Guaranteed)2 Wednesday, Nov. 5 12 p.m. $125 No-Limit Hold'em Day 2 ($50K Guaranteed)3 Thursday, Nov. 6 11 a.m. $300 No-Limit Hold'em4 Friday, Nov. 7 11 a.m. $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event Day 1a ($200K Guaranteed)4 Saturday, Nov. 8 11 a.m. $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event Day 1b ($200K Guaranteed)4 Sunday, Nov. 9 12 a.m. $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event Day 2 ($200K Guaranteed)5 Sunday, Nov. 9 11 a.m. $300 No-Limit Hold'em*

Scott Hosbach wins opening event at the 2014 Summer Slam

The 2014 Summer Slam started this weekend and Seneca Niagara Casino is the gracious host for the event bringing together an eclectic mix of amateurs and professionals. The first event was not necessarily a large one, at least not if compared to other live poker tournaments, but is represented an important milestone for participants. As always, those who attend such competitions are playing game various events and don't limit themselves to one tournament, but try to start on the right foot. Scott Hosbach is one of those who can be thrilled about his recent performance, as he prevailed in the first tournament and collected a cool $3100. Granted this is the buy-in for some bigger tournaments, winning the $200 no-limit hold'em deepstack turbo tournament represents quite a performance for the poker amateur. He had to outshine a total of 108 players and did a brilliant job at keeping his cool and building on his temporary chip lead. By the time he made the final table, he had a significant lead over the pack and was smart enough not to shift into a less aggressive gear. The surviving 10 players were adamant and none of them gave up, but one by one players were sent to the rail, leaving the last five evenly matched. Scott was still ahead at this time but the remaining players decided that it was a good idea to contemplate the possibility of a deal. It didn't take long for them to reach a conclusion and by the time the break ended, they were quite happy to split the pot evenly. This meant that each player was guaranteed to receive $2600, with the winner to take home an additional $500 for his effort. At the end of the day it was Scott Hosbach who survived the heads up, in a highly competitive final played against Paula Rasmussen. These sorts of deals are quite frequent over the Internet, where players don't like the idea of allowing luck decide the outcome of the tournament. After spending many hours at the tables in one of the biggest weekly tournaments, Ladbrokes Poker players are given the chance to split the pot according to their chips. Sometimes, those who are ahead need to make some concessions to reach an agreement and on rare occasions no deal is made, which means that players are left fighting until the bitter end. This was not the case in the opening event of the 2014 Summer Slam, with the final table results being displayed below: 1. Scott Hosbach - $3,1002. Paula Rasmussen - $2,6003. Matthew Caramanna - $2,6004. Brett Ansel - $2,6005. Greg Illig - $2,6006. Steve Rumery - $9077. D.J. MacKinnon - $7738. Paul McLean - $5939. Sam Guercio - $47110. Darrin Bracken - $336

Matt Grapenthien wins Event 61 at the WSOP

The World Series of Poker main event starts today, which means that most of the poker professionals who traveled to Las Vegas are extremely enthusiastic. Meanwhile, those who got involved in side events are reaping the benefits or trying to find explanations for why they failed to win a bracelet. Matt Grapenthien won't have to ask himself this maddening question, because he emerged victorious in the competitive Event #61: $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Championship. The fact that the buy-in is identical to the amount players will be paying to participate in the main event says a great deal about the skill of participants. Todd Brunson led the final table for most of the time and it looked like he would be cruising to an easy victory, until his path crossed with Matt's. These were the two players who made the heads up and the final stage of the competition proved to be intense, with players taking the chip lead several times. At the end of the day it was Matt who won the competition while these players completing the final table: 1. Matt Grapenthien – $268,4732. Todd Brunson – $165,8913. James Obst – $103,8954. Ben Yu – $75,2275. Steve Landfish – $58,7936. Phil Hellmuth – $46,8857. Henrik Hecklen – $38,0738. Henry Orenstein – $31,4199. Jesse Martin – $26,29910. Richard Ashby – $26,299 Interesting enough, Event #60 – $1.5k NLHE that started one day earlier failed to crown a winner and two more players are still competing for a bracelet. Brandon Hall and Salman Jaddi are the last men standing and both of them have a decent chance at winning, with Salman having a slight advantage over the runner-up. Given the fact that the blinds are as high as they get, things can quickly change and one single hand could prove decisive. There were plenty of poker players who found the $1500 tournament attractive, especially now when the main event is just around the corner. Those who made their bankroll mostly over the Internet playing at Ladbrokes Poker and other prestigious poker rooms, found it excessive to pay a five digit amount to play in a live tournament. That's why Event 60 was preferred, but the most successful ones had to settle for a cash prize, leaving Salman and Brandon to play for the elusive WSOP bracelet.

RunGoodGear Poker Series announced for early October

Earlier this month, the first edition of the RunGoodGear Poker Series was held at Downstream Casino and it attracted a total of 344 participants. It is quite an impressive field for a new tournament and the interest for the competition was generated by the novelty but also by the big payouts. It was Bernard Lee who emerged victorious and for his accomplishment, he took home in excess of $47,000, insuring the fact that the next series will be equally popular. As expected, the organizers have recently announced the date for the next competition and it is bound to start on October 1 and conclude five days later. Once again, the Downstream Casino will be the gracious host for the competition, which is quite convenient for American players. They will have two big tournaments to attend without traveling abroad, as the main event at the Hard Rock in Tulsa, Oklahoma is scheduled for early September. The buy-in is set for $675 and the guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 is very likely to be exceeded once again. American players don't have too many options and under normal circumstances, they would trade the live action for online poker. Unfortunately, there are only a couple of states where it is legal to play poker over the Internet and residents of New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada are the ones enjoying their favorite game online. Ladbrokes Poker is trying to enter this lucrative market and with several new states being on the verge of passing favorable legislation, by the end of 2015, more Americans could play poker online without feeling the law. Meanwhile, they have to settle for live events, with the RunGoodGear Poker Series being the most important one in October. This is a great way of competing for a nice paycheck, while gearing up for the final stage of the World Series of Poker 2014, as the final table is scheduled for early November. It will be a pleasure to watch the best poker players compete for the coveted bracelets and millions of dollars, but it doesn't hurt winning a slice of $100,000 while waiting for the big show. Participants will have to pay $675 out-of-pocket to play in the main event, but the investment is definitely worth making. On the off-chance that you can't afford the buy-in but still hope to be a part of the RunGoodGear series, check out the complete schedule below: Date Time Event Buy-In Wednesday, Oct. 1 5 p.m. RunGood Happy Hour Social --Wednesday, Oct. 1 7 p.m. RunGood Pro Bounty $125Thursday, Oct. 2 1 p.m. All-In-or-Fold Rebuy Tournament $40 ($20 rebuys)Thursday, Oct. 2 4 p.m. Main Event Qualifier (Five seats guaranteed) $150Thursday, Oct. 2 7 p.m. Six-Handed NLH $230Friday, Oct. 3 1 p.m. Main Event Day 1a $675Friday, Oct. 3 4 p.m. Main Event Qualifier (10 seats guaranteed) $150Friday, Oct. 3 7 p.m. Main Event Qualifier (10 seats guaranteed) $150Saturday, Oct. 4 11 a.m. Brunch w/ the RunGood Pros --Saturday, Oct. 4 1 p.m. Main Event Day 1b…
